Care Certificate

Care Certificate — Essential Knowledge for Health and Social Care

Course Overview

Good care begins with understanding your responsibilities, respecting each person as an individual and knowing how to work safely.

Clarivive MedInsight’s online Care Certificate course introduces the essential knowledge, values and behaviours needed by people working in health and social care. It helps learners understand how to provide compassionate, person-centred support while protecting people’s dignity, rights, wellbeing and safety.

The course explores everyday care responsibilities, including communication, safeguarding, confidentiality, infection prevention, health and safety, nutrition, hydration and recognising when concerns require reporting or escalation.

Learning connects essential principles with realistic care situations, helping staff understand both what good practice looks like and when they must seek support.

This online course supports the knowledge element of the Care Certificate. Completing it alone does not demonstrate workplace competence or confirm achievement of the full Care Certificate. Relevant practical skills and behaviours must also be assessed in the workplace by an appropriate assessor.
