This one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed to give learners the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to respond safely and confidently to common workplace first-aid emergencies. The course focuses on immediate action, casualty assessment, basic life support and emergency care until professional help arrives.
The aim of this course is to help learners recognise and respond to workplace emergencies, provide safe first aid, preserve life, prevent deterioration and promote recovery.
This course is suitable for adult workplace first-aid situations. It is not a substitute for advanced clinical training, paediatric first aid, specialist trauma training or full three-day First Aid at Work training where a workplace risk assessment requires a higher level of provision.
By the end of the course, learners should be able to:

Successful learners will receive an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, refresher course is suggested every year. Subject to successful completion of practical and knowledge-based assessment.
