We strive for excellent training experiences and continuously improve for learners and organizations.

Because you deserve a training platform that delivers.

Effective wound care plays a vital role in promoting healing, preventing infection and improving quality of life. Poor wound management can lead to delayed healing, avoidable pain, hospital admission and serious complications. Healthcare professionals therefore require up-to-date knowledge, practical competence and confidence when caring for individuals with wounds across hospitals, care homes and community settings.
Clarivive MedInsight's Wound Care Management course combines current UK evidence-based practice with realistic clinical scenarios and supervised practical sessions. Participants will learn how wounds heal, recognise different wound types, perform structured wound assessment, maintain aseptic technique, select appropriate dressings, identify signs of deterioration and accurately document wound care.
The course also explores pressure ulcer prevention, moisture-associated skin damage, infection control, pain assessment, nutrition, safeguarding considerations and when referral to Tissue Viability Nurses or other healthcare professionals is required. Practical demonstrations allow learners to develop confidence in dressing techniques while understanding their professional responsibilities and limitations.
By the end of the training, delegates will be able to provide safe, person-centred wound care that reflects current legislation, national guidance and recognised UK best practice.
To provide healthcare professionals with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely assess, manage, dress, monitor and document common wounds while recognising complications requiring escalation.
This course covers the principles of wound healing, wound assessment, infection prevention, dressing selection, wound documentation, pressure ulcer prevention, pain management, person-centred care and referral pathways. The course focuses on common wound management within professional competence and does not replace specialist Tissue Viability training.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Certificate of Competence in Wound Care Management issued by Clarivive MedInsight Ltd.
Recommended Refresher: Every 12 months, or earlier if required by organisational policy, changes in clinical practice, or following an extended period away from wound care duties.
